Garam Masala-martha Stewart Living


herb/spice

1 teaspoon coriander seeds
1 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon cardamom seeds
2 cinnamon sticks
3 bay leaves
1 1/2 teaspoon peppercorns
1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
1 teaspoon ground mace

1. Place all the seeds together in a saute pan over medium heat and dry-roast, shaking pan often, until they give. off an aroma, about 5 minutes. 2.
