Smothered Cabbage Rue Chartres
vegetables, cajun, kosher
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 lb salami or hot sausage
1 head cabbage, coarse chop
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon pareve margarine
Saute' onion and meat in margarine. Add cabbage (with water still clinging to leaves from washing), salt, and pepper. Cover and cook over low heat for abt. 2 hrs.
